The Biggest Morning Tea, supporting cancer research

On Tuesday the 18th of May, Cpharm staff participated in the Biggest Morning Tea. The Biggest Morning tea supports the Cancer Council, which assists people impacted by cancer to provide support, assist in prevention and provide funding in the detection and treatment of cancers. The investment in research has assisted in increasing survival rates from 49% in the 1980s up to 69% today. (Cancer Council, 2021)
In 2020, the Biggest Morning Tea nationwide raised $2.8 million for vital research despite the pandemic. So far this year, there has been $2,061,182 raised.
The Cancer Council encourages cancer screening programs and provides education on prevention, treatment and a healthy lifestyle.
